FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for UV solidification of colour printer inks, polymer coats, vanishes etc. Proposed method comprises subjecting the substance containing photo initiators to radiation of UV-LEDs. Radiation spectrum of all said UV-LEADs is identical and corresponds to maximum sensibilisation of substance photo initiators. Intensity of UV radiation is controlled by feeding to UV-LEDs current pulses with frequency varying from 1 kHz to 10 MHz, as well as by frequency, current strength and current pulse on-off time ratio so that average dissipated power of said LEDs equal or approximates to maximum value, not exceeding critical value that causes LED failure. Proposed device allows implemented the claimed method.
EFFECT: invention can be used in piezo-jet fill-colour printers with various printing heads.
