FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ink with quantum points for digital piezo-jet printers, which can be used for printing on a wide range of absorbent and non-absorbent substrates. Ink comprises quantum dots selected from II-IV group, III-V or IV-VI group semiconductor compounds, monofunctional and difunctional acrylic monomers, component for photochemical initiation of radical polymerisation from a series of phosphine oxides and a polymerisation inhibitor. As quantum dots, ink comprises CdZnS/ZnS, CdZnSe/ZnS, CdZnSeS/ZnS, CdSe/CdS/ZnS, InP/ZnS, PbSe/ZnS; monofunctional acrylic monomers - acroloyl morpholine, tetrahydrofurfurylacrylate or 2-[[butylamino)carbonyl]oxy]ethyl acrylate; as difunctional acrylic monomers - tricyclodecane dimethanol diacrylate, 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate or dipropylene glycol diacrylate. Described also is a method of applying said ink onto a substrate using UV radiation in range of 385–405 nm.
EFFECT: invention provides solventless ink with low level of smell, good adhesion to different materials with wider spectrum of substrates for applying ink and spectrum of colors in range of 400 to 3000 nm.
