Method and device for dedication of virtual containers in networks of synchronous digital hierarchy may be adjusted for processing of input signals, containing identical levels of virtual containers nesting for all multiplexed frames STM-1 in the number that corresponds to recommendation ITU-T G.707, or signal with byte-serial alternation of STM-1 frames number differing from the one proposed in recommendation ITU-T G.707.
EFFECT: reduced amount of hardware resources used in processing of multiplexed signals SDH comprising frames STM-1.
