SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the optical communication equipment and can be used in apparatuses for processing the data of a low-speed service in an optical transport network in order to solve a technical problem. To realise the described result, the method includes: first, displaying the data of the low-speed service to a newly established low-speed data frame, wherein the speed of transmission of the low-speed data frame corresponds to the speed of transmission of the data of the low-speed service, the data frame includes the header area and the payload area, the payload area is used to transmit the data of the low-speed service, the speed of transmission of the payload area in the low-speed data frame is no less than the speed of transmission of the data of the low-speed service, and the speed of transmission of the data of the low-speed service is less than 1 Gbps; then displaying the low-speed data frame to one or more slots in another data frame wherein the speed of transmission of the slot does not exceed 100 Mbps; and finally, displaying another data frame on the optical transport unit (OTU) frame and transmitting the OTU frame.

EFFECT: reduction in the complexity of transmission, increase in the speed of data processing.
