METHOD OF TREATING CICATRICIAL STRICTURES OF OESOPHAGUS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2402282 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and can find application in the endo-oesophageal treatment of cicatricial strictures of oesophagus. Substance of the method consists in the dissection of cicatricial tissue and the endoscope-aided extension of the stricture area. The dissection of cicatricial tissue is performed by an electric coagulator from two opposite sides of a scar along its full length at an angle 30-45° to cicatricial tissue, and the extension of the stricture area is ensured by hydrodilatation under pressure 2.0-3.0 atm statically for 1-3 minutes. Then a dilator is advanced behind the stricture area to be extended once more under the same pressure in backward motion of the hydrodilator. The extension is performed daily during the first week of treatment, every second day from the second week, and every 2 days during the third week. After the first extension procedure, the mucosa of the scar area is exposed to NO-therapy in a therapeutic mode. After each extension, the created oesophageal lumen is irrigated with a fat ferment and hormone mixture.

EFFECT: use of the given invention allows improving clinical effectiveness, enabling social rehabilitation of the patients and restoring capacity for work.
