FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, particularly traumatology. A fracture is localised with determining the dimensions and shape of splinters. A nail with a hole on its proximal end is inserted through a proximal splinter into the intramedullary canal outside with the use of a guide rod. A hole aligned with the nail hole is formed in the proximal splinter. The nail is fixed by inserting a rod through the holes created therein and in the proximal splinter. Two cross wires being from each other at 5 cm along the injured bone are introduced through a distal splinter. The wires are fastened in ring external bearings of an apparatus for transosseous fixation. Screws to be laterally compressed are inserted into the splinters from the opposite sides of the injured bone. The screws and wire are fastened completely in the apparatus for transosseous fixation, namely in its bar and ring external bearing.

EFFECT: method provides reliable splinter fixing to eliminate their mobility and prevent their secondary dislocation by simultaneous longitudinal and lateral compression.
