SUBSTANCE: supports of a transosseous distraction device with external fixation are mounted on the bone. The first elastic rod is introduced in the medullary bone cavity through the pineal gland, not reaching the expected osteotomy level. Bone osteotomy is performed. Bone fragments are set in the desired proper position. The set position of bone fragments is fixed with the transosseus external fixation device. The first elastic rod is directed further into the medullary cavity, beyond the osteotomy level, to the opposite metaphysis, and its end is immersed in the metaphysis. The second elastic rod is introduced through the opposite epiphysis towards the first elastic rod into the medullary bone cavity, directed beyond the osteotomy level, and its end is immersed in the metaphysis. During flexible rods introduction, equal bend curvature and opposite direction are provided. At least one flexible rod is directed through the bone growth zone. The free ends of the rods are bent and cut. Transosseous external fixation device provides moderate compression force on the bone fragments. After bone fragments fusion is reached, the transosseous external fixation device is removed.
