FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, can be applied in treatment of benign space-occupying lesions of thyroid gland. Method consists in the following: nodule destruction is carried out in two stages: first nodule tissue is subjected to ethanol sclerotherapy by introduction of 95% ethanol. In 1.5-2 months combined treatment, including processing of central parts of laser irradiation in mode which ensures preservation of viable peripheral part of nodule, optimally 4-5 mm thick, and after that without removal of puncture needle. After that into nodule tissue, in zone which was not subjected to laser exposure, 95% ethanol is introduced, kept under USI control for 2 minutes, liquid being aspirated.
EFFECT: application of claimed invention allows to achieve normalisation of thyreoid status in greater per cent of cases due to reduction of general destruction time, number of necessary laser impacts, need in local anesthetics and complete elimination of transitory thyrotoxicosis after treatment.
