FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy and can be used for producing dispersion-strengthened articles based on copper for electric erosion applications. Layer of AI2O3 is applied on copper powder particles in decomposing aluminate solution at concentration of 1-2 wt %. Chips of aluminium alloy in solution is used to be processed in high-power mill for 3.5-4.5 h with relation between ball weight and powder weight making 10:1 to produce activated copper powder. From mix material produced by adding copper in amount of 0-25 wt % activated copper powder with layer of AI2O3 applied thereon processed in high-power mill is used to form porous blank to be heated and hot-forged.
EFFECT: higher hardness.
