SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and specifically to a method of processing acid tar. The method involves mixing tar with soil and adding to the said mixture a mixed culture of microorganisms consisting of Candida digboiensis MTCC 4371 and Candida digboiensis MTCC 4372 strains together with a system of nutrient substances. The microorganisms may be located on a carrier.
EFFECT: invention enables fast deactivation of acidic hydrocarbon residue in an effective and environmentally friendly way.
