METHOD OF TESTING CABLE DEVICE INTENDED FOR LOCKING AND SEALING CARS AND CONTAINERS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G01N3/00 

Abstract RU 2402752 C1

FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises unaxial constant-rate stretching of closed loop of cable at tension testing machine. Closing the cable device is carried out via leading cable section into the case. After closing, closing force is determined by clamping element on testable. Then cable device is secured in tension testing machine 11 fixture and stretched at constant rate till tolerable load values and stretching forced is plotted on diagram P=f(δ). If cable section is stretched out outside tolerances, then cable device is tested for vibration resistance. Note here that after removal from tension testing machine 11, cable device is secured in vibration test post and cut in with allowed frequency and amplitude. If stretching does not exceed tolerances, cable device is transferred to tension testing machine 11 and stretching load is increased. Test is carried out till complete destruction by pulling out the cable section from the case or destructing cable device. Note here that opening force is determined that should equal Popening > Pclosing.

EFFECT: efficient control due to additional estimation of characteristics.
