FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to waveguide transitions serving for transmission of electromagnetic waves from the waveguide into the a super-high frequency (SHF) signal waveguide transmission line and in the opposite direction. The proposed waveguide transition contains a waveguide, a SHF waveguide transmission line and a dielectric plate. The waveguide is connected to a SHF waveguide transmission line selected from a group including a microstrip, a slot and a twin line and connected to the waveguide along its axis. The transmission line has a U-shaped curve by means whereof the transmission line is connected to the closed stub form by the transmission line one end whereof is grounded to the wall of the strip closed stub with one section of the transmission line forming the section of the line whereunder the dielectric plate is mounted parallel to the U-shaped plane. On the dielectric plate an electromagnetic wave is converted into a magnetic one and vice versa due to field dissymmetry.
EFFECT: invention technical effect consists in reduction of losses in the waveguide, structure simplification combined in reduction of its overall dimensions.
