SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave and extremely high-frequency equipment and can be used in radar, radio navigation, communication, antenna-feeder systems and measurement equipment as a transforming element between rectangular waveguide and microstrip transmission lines. Waveguide-microstrip junction is integrated into the housing of the microwave or EHF module, which is made in the form of a combined base and cover and is formed by serial connection of a rectangular waveguide section supplied perpendicular to the section of the planar line. Connection of rectangular waveguide section and section of planar line is formed by strip radiator, which is part of metal current-conducting topological pattern applied on dielectric substrate, which is partially introduced into the cavity of the rectangular waveguide section and is located in the plane of symmetry of its narrow walls.

EFFECT: wider frequency range of operating frequencies.
