FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics. The first stage involves making skin incisions on an external surface of the forearm starting from the level of the upper one-third to the lower one-third and crossing along the radial and ulnar bones. A first radius and an ulnar flap are separated through the skin incisions. The second, third, fourth, fifth metacarpal bones, carpal bones are isolated to form a radial flap including the metacarpal bone and a fragment of the proximal phalanx, and the ulnar flap to overlap a mobilised ulnar branch. At the second stage, flexor and extensor muscles of the forearm and hand are excised to the level of the round pronator muscle. The third stage includes osteotomy of a distal ulnar fragment, and the prepared autologous bone graft is stuck on the pointed distal fragment of the radial bone to create both branches of the same length. Both branches are closed with autologous tissues, and their distal and middle parts are covered with the turned about radial and ulnar blood supplied flaps. The extended forearm in fixed with a plaster splint.

EFFECT: method provides formation of extremity grip, better quality of life of a disabled person by self-service enhancement.
