FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly to method of producing aircraft structural elements made, mainly, from titanium alloys. In compliance with this method, section cross section is formed at temperature exceeding that of polymorphic conversion in forming slot channel with specified geometrical sizes on channel filling in pressing section off from female die. Section straightening and thermal treatment are carried out in forming slot without breaking it down. Detachable split forming slot with channel that features inner cross section partially or completely similar to formed section cross section outer shape is secured to the device female die assembly. Inner sizes of channel section are 0.5-3 mm larger that outer sizes of section cross section. Said channel is arranged so that spatial position of axes of its sections is aligned in lengthwise direction with that of axes of finished section.
EFFECT: higher quality of finished sections, higher efficiency.
