FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in process plants to test various air-feed jet engines (AFJE), preferably to straight air-feed jet engines (SAFJE), including hypersonic ones (HSAFJE), as source of air, composition and thermodynamic characteristics of which comply with various modes of aircraft flight. Method for production of high-temperature gas medium with specified oxygen content includes supply of combustible and gaseous or fluid oxidant, for instance oxygen or air, or mixture of oxygen with nitrogen into burning zone of combustion chamber with formation of gaseous medium in its outlet section with even temperature field and content of oxygen, and also supply of oxygen or air, or mixture of oxygen with nitrogen in dilution zone of combustion chamber in the form of circular flows from jets in several cross sections. At the same time supply of oxygen or air, or their mixtures, or mixture of oxygen with nitrogen into each circular flow of dilution zone in combustion chamber is carried out from autonomous sources with identical depth of jets penetration in each section, but different in different cross sections. Circular flows formed from jets in various cross sections cover cross section of dilution zone in plan towards outlet of combustion chamber. Gaseous medium of each circular flow of dilution zone is mixed in identical proportion with gaseous medium of according circular flow, flowing out of burning zone of combustion chamber.

EFFECT: high evenness of temperatures distribution and content of oxygen at the outlet of combustion chamber, and accordingly, at the inlet of tested engine in wide range, both artificial air flow and its temperature and oxygen content.
