FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: when creating lightguide channels, a liquid medium in form of a film with total internal reflection is used. Continuous or pulsed optical radiation is locally transmitted into the film through its edges or through its surface using optical devices. Radiation intensity must be sufficient for formation of a cylindrical focusing mirror on the surface due to light pressure, where the said mirror focuses radiation entering the film into a narrow lihtguide channel.
EFFECT: obtaining long lightguide channels in a liquid with less optical radiation power and in a shorter period of time.
