FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of using a lithium-ion accumulator battery (LIAB) involves charging, discharging, storage in charged state, monitoring and controlling temperature of the LIAB using a built-in heater controlled depending on the current temperature of the LIAB. Operation of the built-in heater is continuously controlled depending on the current temperature of the LIAB using a pulse-width modulator with feedback in the given temperature control range. Also the given temperature control range is corrected during use towards the greater or smaller side depending on the current temperature, from heat release of the LIAB during charging-discharging cycles, from change in nominal temperature value due to deterioration of characteristics of thee temperature control system.
EFFECT: more efficient use of lithium-ion accumulator batteries and longer service life.
