FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dispersion of solid particles and can be used in analysing the properties of radioactive aerosols using materials-simulators with behaviour similar to that of radioactive materials under blast loads. Proposed invention aims at developing the method to produce high-dispersion aerosols from solid particles of analysed materials. For this, prior to accelerating, solid particles are uniformly arranged in fusible tablet. Said tablet is fitted into recess made on the pan front face. Particles are accelerated together with tablet in the pan of ballistic unit barrel to hyper sound velocity. Tablet material is evaporated due to adiabatic air compression in said barrel and solid particles are released. Pan elements are removed from particle flight path outside of ballistic unit barrel. Particles are dispersed to form aerosol due to high-enthalpy ram airflow.

EFFECT: higher quality of experiment results.
