FIELD: test equipment, mainly used in study of high-speed interaction of solid bodies, for example, simulation of action of "space garbage" on orbital space objects.
SUBSTANCE: the device has a nozzle secured on the muzzle end of the barrel of the ballistic range, the nozzle is made with a tapered through axial duct constricting to the exit section, the duct length and the inlet-to-outlet diameter ratio are determined proceeding from the condition of flexible reduction of the bottom plate and its destruction at the outlet from the nozzle.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cutting-off of the bottom plate, including cutting-off in the conditions of rarefied atmosphere and vacuum.
