FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: during hardening it is heated to 850-890°C, first it is cooled in saturated NaCl salt solution, where it is exposed to 250-450°C, and then in oil to room temperature. Drawing is performed with the item heated in oil to 190-210°C during 2-3 hours depending on its sizes, and then heated item is placed into oil from room temperature, which is stirred from time to time, and item is cooled to room temperature.
EFFECT: improving quality owing to more homogeneous hardness of item made from chromium tool steel.
