FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: to provide steel yield point of not less than 120 kgf/mm2, coercitive force in range of 3,400 to 4,400 A/m, hardness in range of 45-50 HRC units workpiece from steel 20H13 or 30H13 is subjected to thermal treatment by quenching with temperature of 1,000 to 1,050 °C in oil to room temperature and two-step tempering, wherein first tempering is carried out at temperature from 350 to 450 °C with air cooling to room temperature and second tempering at temperature from 480 to 520 °C with air cooling to room temperature.

EFFECT: invention can be used in machining of high-loaded structures from steel 20H13 and 30H13 with simultaneously given mechanical and magnetic properties, particularly in production of disc shape short-circuited rotors for end hysteresis motors of high-speed centrifugal devices.
