FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to the manufacture of parts from high-carbon steels in industrial production. The method of manufacturing parts from high-carbon tool steels includes quenching of workpieces of parts, their preliminary and final machining to obtain parts. The workpieces made from bars are quenched at a temperature of 750-780°C for 115-125 minutes, and heating to this quenching temperature is carried out for 60-90 minutes, the quenched workpieces are cooled in a furnace to a temperature of 590-600°C, and then in air, then preliminary machining of the workpieces by turning is carried out, after which the workpieces are tempered at a temperature of 190-200°С for 20-30 minutes, and then they are subjected to final machining by turning.
EFFECT: increased ductility and strength of parts while maintaining high hardness.
