FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method involves loading of coarse scrap metal to charge capacity and impact effect of short-time series of in-series acting impacts on it at least of two colliding bodies located in the form of straight-line dynamic chain oriented in vertical direction, at different heights and connected to each other with mechanical linking. Lower body is made in the form of load with inner cavity restricted with attachment flange. Middle body is made in the form of load with shoulder contacting the attachment flange of lower body or its bottom. Next middle body is made in the form of load with inner cavity restricted with attachment flange. Upper body is made in the form of solid load with shoulder contacting the attachment flange of middle body.

EFFECT: increasing bulk density of scrap metal owing to intensification of loading layer-by-layer mutual penetration of various kinds of scrap metal.
