FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method for steel making includes charging of scrap, slag forming materials, metal concentrate for metallurgical conversion, oxidized pellets into electric arc furnace, their melting, metal deoxidation, metal refining and tappling melt from furnace. Metal concentrate with fraction of 10- 250 mm is charged into furnace in form of mechanical mixture with oxidized pellets with their ratio to total mass of charge of (0.04-0.4):(0.02-0.15):1.0, respectively, for scrap in the amount of 0.1-0.4 per ton of melt. Metal concentrate for metallurgical conversion of fraction of 10-250 mm has the following chemical composition, mas. iron 71.0-90.1; carbon 2.0-4.7; manganese 0.3-1.2; silicon 0.4-3.6; calcium oxide 2.1-10.5; magnesium oxide 0.3-1.5; ferrous oxide 0.25-5.1; manganese oxide 0.01-0.4; silicon dioxide 1.9-9.5; alumina 0.2-3.6; phosphorus 0.11-0.3; sulfur 0.1-0.4; graphite 0.4-5.9; phosphorus pentoxide 0.4-0.8. Made in electric arc furnace is intermediate product, and refining and oxidation are effected in furnace-ladle unit. EFFECT: reduced consumption of steel scrap and mass percentage of nonferrous metal impurities in steel. 3 cl
