FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmic surgery. Anatomo-topographic structure of iridociliary zone is determined by examination by method of ultrasonic biomicroscopy. Presence of contact of root zone of iris with trabecule and presence of contact of ciliary processes with iris are detected. Depth of posterior chamber and area of posterior chamber section are measured. If simultaneously fixed is contact of root zone of iris with trabecule, contact of ciliary processes with iris, lying in range from 0.42 to 0.68 mm, depth of posterior chamber is within the interval from 0.33 to 0.48 mm. Area of posterior chamber section is in the interval from 0.37 mm2 to 0.61 mm2, conclusion about presence of indications for performing surgical operation by phacoemulsification of eye lens is made.
EFFECT: method allows to determine indications for performing surgical operation in case of primary angle-closure glaucoma with plateau iris syndrome.
