SUBSTANCE: acid of general formula , where R can be a straight or branched alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted phenyl, where substitutes of the phenyl group may be 1-5 lower alkyl groups, 1-5 lower alkoxy groups, 1-5 halogen atoms, 1-5 dialkylamino groups, Y is a single bond or a methylene group, is obtained by mixing secondary phosphine oxides of formula R2P(O)H with unsaturated 1,4-dicarboxylic acids and then heating the mixture in a melt at normal pressure and temperature of 80-120°C until completion of the reaction.

EFFECT: novel method of producing valuable intermediate products of organic synthesis.
