FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: swirling-type furnace includes vertical housing that consists of a set of cylindrical shells with increasing diametre for each next stage, ash hopper, recirculation channels between the stages, channels for tangential admission of polydisperse fuel and primary air to the lower part of combustion space, channels for ash removal from the upper stage to ash hopper, exhaust flue. Note that recirculation channels and ash removal channels are formed by annular space between cylindrical shells of different height inserted into each other. Recirculation channels have output to combustion space in rarefaction zone through annular slot between neighboring stages. At that under the lower stage and annular slot there installed is cylindrical stage of larger diametre with confuser in the upper part.
EFFECT: stable recirculation of polydisperse fuel in combustion space improving quality of its combustion and operating efficiency of swirling-type furnace.
