FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method can be used in production of mineral cotton on melting raw stock in cupola furnaces or in production of heat insulation materials. Proposed method comprises loading mineral raw stock and solid fuel, and feeding air through lance in cyclic manner with periodical variation of pressure, fuel combustion and raw stock melting. Adjustment of cyclic feed of air is performed for each lance separately. Note here that total air flow rate through all lances is kept invariable.
EFFECT: regular yield of melt, high quality of mineral cotton.
