FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: bending test installation with twisting of rod specimens has a stand, movable support cross beams, apparatus for fastening the specimens and loading apparatus. The specimens are held in the cross direction between two parallel plates. Units for interfacing apparatus for fastening the specimens and the movable support cross beams operate as spatial hinges.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of testing rods working under bending with twisting, possibility of obtaining accurate curves of the theory of limiting equilibrium of rods.
