FIELD: technological processes; measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: installation is designed to study the flexible rod elements with complex internal structure stiffness and damping properties. With its help, the flexible rod elements bending curvature dependence on the edge bending moments values is determined, and also the flexible elements end sections twisting angles relative to each other dependences on the edge torques values are established. Installation consists of rigid load bearing frame, containing supports (1), hinged joints (4), to which metal rods (6) are attached, electric drives (7) and other elements providing for the study of short flexible elements both in the form of continuous homogeneous, heterogeneous, composite rods, and wire structures in the form of the overhead transmission lines wires and cables. Obtained dependences allow to establish the flexible elements bending and torsional rigidities, as well as the deformation energy in their structure dissipation characteristics.
EFFECT: invention provides the elements characteristics determination for solving the problems of energy, aviation and rocket and space technology, fiber optic equipment, construction, etc.
