FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: frequency electric drive is arranged on the basis of synchronous (asynchronous) AC machine and double-link frequency converter with controlled rectifier at network input and intermediate DC link at the output, to poles of which thyristor voltage inverter is connected with its inputs by means of parallel-connected filter, and this inverter is arranged by three-phase bridge circuit on single-operation thyristors of full capacity shunted with back diodes, and comprises device of artificial switching, necessary to switch power thyristors in mode of synchronous machine operation with lagging phase angles of current relative to voltage of stator windings. Device of artificial switching is arranged in the form of three-phase booster transformer and three-phase transistor voltage inverter with comparatively low capacity.

EFFECT: reduction of capacity and dimensions of artificial switching device compared to available devices of similar purpose.
