SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems. WAP-gateway and method of billing control for prepaid subscribers includes the following: WAP-gateway of wireless applications protocol exchanges appropriate information with the billing system according to various queries for tariff subscriber service, and also collects and controls appropriate payments according to information received as a result of exchange. Method also guarantees high efficiency and reliability of billing by means of billing sessions storage in gateway for a certain period of time. In case a large file is downloaded with previous traffic charge-off and subscriber dissatisfaction with the content service as a result of various deviations from the norm, the method makes it possible to cancel traffic charge-off.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to efficiently do billing online and to accurately configure billing strategy, in order to implement flexible billing on the basis of various payment tariffs and to satisfy required conditions of flexible billing of communication services supplier companies.
