METHOD OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTICS OF EXTRAPYRAMIDAL DISORDERS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B3/113

Abstract RU 2407425 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: registration of eye movements is carried out. Peripheral visual stimuli are placed at 7° angle with respect to the central one. Movement parametres are determined. Quantity of vertical movements is compared with quantity of shown visual stimuli. If quantity of vertical movements equals or is higher than 40% of quantity of shown stimuli, values of latent periods and share of multisaccades statistically essentially increase age norm, with simultaneous correspondence of duration of single movements to age norm, Parkinson disease is diagnosed. If quantity of vertical movements is lower than 40% of total quantity of stimuli, values of latent periods and share of multisaccades statistically essentially increasing age norm, with simultaneous increase of duration of single vertical movements to values which essentially increase age norm, progressing supranuclear paralysis is diagnosed. If quantity of vertical movements equals or is higher than 40% of quantity of shown visual stimuli, values of latent periods, share of multisaccades, duration of single vertical and horizontal movements correspond to values of age norm, with simultaneous detection of extrapyramidal disorder, essential tremor is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method increases diagnostics accuracy.
