SUBSTANCE: ink cartridge includes section of the first signal blocking, which is either able to prevent passing of the first signal through it, or to change path of the first signal passing. Ink cartridge also includes section of the second signal blocking, which is either able to prevent passing of the second signal through it, or to change path of the second signal passing. Section of the second signal blocking has the thickness that defines whether section of the second signal blocking prevents passing of the second signal through it, or whether it changes path of the second signal passing at the moment of time, when section of the first signal blocking initially prevents passing of the first signal through it or changes path of the first signal passing.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to accurately define information on ink cartridge without regard to speed of cartridge installation by user into typing device and without regard to the fact whether the cartridge has been inserted and partially removed from typing device prior to its final installation.
