FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing aromatic hydrocarbons from synthetic gas containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen, involving bringing the gas into contact with an effective amount of catalyst which contains 30% cobalt and promoted 4% magnesium (II) oxide and 3% zirconium (II) oxide, in which the carrier used is decationated zeolite, characterised by that the method is carried out in molar ratio of carbon monoxide to hydrogen equal to 1:(0.5-2), contact temperature of gases equal to 250-300°C, bulk speed of supplying gas equal to 300-2000 h-1 and pressure of 0.5-3 MPa, and molar ratio SiO2/Al2O3=38 in the carrier.
EFFECT: use of pressure and high bulk speed of feeding synthetic gas increases synthesis efficiency and considerably lowers output of carbon dioxide.
