FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: system and method of generating and distributing energy has one or more microwave transmitters lying on Earth near natural fuel and energy resources, e.g. natural gas, oil, solid fuel or geothermal energy. The fuel and energy source is converted to electrical energy onsite and the electrical energy is then converted to microwave energy beams transmitted from a microwave transmitter to a relay satellite on orbit around the Earth. The relay satellite then sends one or more microwave beams to rectennae located in countries with high consumption and located on corresponding places for powering the power system, or to further relay satellites for direction to rectennae located on the opposite side of the Earth.
EFFECT: supplying the Earth with energy at low cost using satellites, in particular the Moon.
