FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: radio frequency identification antenna has a substrate on which there is an impedance conductor in form of a periodic microstrip line inscribed into a ring, having diametre equal to λ/π, where λ is the operating wavelength. The antenna is characterised by the possibility of using therein a structure of impedance conductors made in form of annular resonance sections having a zigzag or meander shape.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining axial radiation with circular polarisation for a microstrip structure, having overall dimensions considerably smaller than the resonant wavelength, which enables to make an antenna for identifying radio frequency labels in the 866-915 MHz range.
