FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in electric and radio engineering to connect various electric devices. Socket is intended to connect wires by pressing method. It comprises casing (1) of plug with pins (2) and casing (3) of socket with seats. Seats with pressed wires (5) and pins (2) are tightly sealed into vessels (3) and (1). Wrench that serves to coordinate connection includes slot on casing (1) and ledge (7) on casing (3) and provides for correct definite joint of socket parts. Wires (5) of socket are protected against wear by grid (8). Torsion latches (9) and (10) are arranged on elastic belt (11), which is rigidly fixed on body (3) at its two diametrically opposite sides. Pressing elements (12) and (13) are continuations of torsion latches (9) and (10). On body (1) of socket in its upper part there are narrow slots both for latches (9) and (10) framed along edges by small guide ledges, and for rectangular holes arranged under slots and proportionate to width of latch (9) and (10) plates. Under holes there are slots of rectangular shape along whole remaining height of this part to form contact sites protruding above base and contact sites under slot and opposite to it along perimeter of base to install plug on circuit board.
EFFECT: improved convenience of assembly and operation of socket with reduction of dimensions and provision of reliable transfer of electric signals from one device to another.
