FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to area of forestry and ecology. Method includes selection of fir trees, which are under anthropogenic effect. After selection of tree, node is selected, then primary branch inside identified node is selected with measurement of geodesic direction of its stem. Then branches of the same age are marked on selected branch, after cutting each branch is placed into container for transportation. Under laboratory conditions, for each cut branch, prior to separation of needles from stem, distance is measured from stem base to middle of thickness of each needle, besides, measurements are made in four sectors. After separation from stem, in each needle length, width and thickness are measured by vernier calipers, then needles are placed into containers for their drying under room conditions. On completion of drying, length, width and thickness are measured by vernier calipers in each dried needle.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase complexity of measurements, which are used to do ecological assessment of environment.
