FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method includes selection of a recorded fir tree. After selection of recorded tree a node is selected. Then primary branch is selected inside selected node with measurement of geodesic direction of its stem. Main sample is cut from stem end in the form of sprig for analysis of its moisture-retaining property. At the primary branch additional samples are cut from subsequent branches at the end of their stems in the form of sprigs to analyse moisture-retaining property of primary branch. After cutting each sprig is placed into container for transportation. Then all cut sprigs in laboratory conditions are repeatedly weighed with drying under room conditions until permanent weight is achieved.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurements, tests and analysis of moisture-retaining capacity of cut fir tree sprigs, and ecological assessment of forest and other environment on that basis.
