FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurosurgery and neurology. Spiral computer tomography of facial skeleton from both sides is performed. State of all canals and orifices of peripheral branches of trigeminal nerve, as well as state of dentoalveolar system and paranasal sinuses is estimated. After that magnetic resonance tomography is performed and node and root of trigeminal nerve are visualised with determination of their tumour affection, as well as basal brain ganglia with determination of consequences of ischemic changes. After that, magnetic resonance angiography is performed and presence of compression of trigeminal nerve root compression by brain vessels is detected. Obtained results are estimated and trigeminal neuralgia with isolated or combined affection of its first, second and third neurons is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method ensures increase of diagnostics accuracy.
