If intimate adjoining of vessel in form of loop or part of vessel to vestibulocochlear nerve on the side of peripheral cochleovestibular syndrome is present at the background of increased blood pressure and/or blood viscosity, and/or impairment of venous outflow from posterior cranial fossa, dysfunction of vestibulocochlear nerve resulting from nerve compression by vessel is diagnosed.
