FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and to a mat drum designed for making pneumatically packed absorbent cores for hygienic absorbent products, and to a method of manufacturing said cores. Said drum comprises a number of moulds along its peripheral surface, and each mould has upstanding walls and bottom According to the invention, the upstanding walls of the mould are formed in a flexible element, and said element is detachably attached to a holed rigid base which passes along the whole surrounding periphery of the mat drum.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce wear of the moulds.
