METHOD OF TREATING IMPINGEMENT SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61M19/00 A61K31/167 A61P23/02

Abstract RU 2408394 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurology, traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used at treating patients with impingement syndrome. That is ensured by block as follows. Outlines of the acromion and deltoid muscle on the brink of which a needle 60-80 mm longwith a syringe is stuck in the middle, are localised. It is followed with layer-specific tissues infiltration with 10 ml of 0.5% anaesthetic along the needle movement towards a lateral surface of the humeral bone to contact it and move the needle further tangentially at a lateral external surface of the shoulder. The syringe is detached, and a sterile conductor is inserted into the needle to be removed. A catheter to be fixed with a skin suture is inserted on the sterile conductor, while a cannula portion of the catheter is covered with a rubber stopper; and an aseptic bandage is applied. 0.25 % novocaine 20 ml is introduced four times a day.

EFFECT: method allows stable prolonged relief of pain syndrome with preserved myesthesia and skin sensitivity due to introduction of the anaesthetic in a nidus directly.
