METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF PAIN SYNDROME IN ADHESIVE CAPSULITIS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2745328 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurology, anesthesiology, and can be used for the treatment of pain syndrome in adhesive capsulitis. For this, an ultrasound-assisted blockade is performed. Scanning is performed in the infraspinatus region of the scapula in an oblique longitudinal direction along the infraspinatus muscle and its tendon. In this case, the patient is placed in a sitting position, and the ultrasound sensor is in the longitudinal plane below the spine of the scapula. An image containing the posterior contour of the shoulder head with a segment of the posterior surface of the joint capsule, the infraspinatus muscle and the large scapular notch is verified. The needle is injected lateral to the sensor in the lateomedial direction at an angle of 50-60 degrees to the plane of the sensor and its tip is passed through the distal infraspinatus muscle in the direction of the large scapular notch. The solution is injected into the area located between the segment of the posterior surface of the joint capsule and the deep sections of the infraspinatus muscle, adjacent to the area of the large scapular notch with nerve fibers located in it, which are the terminal branches of the suprascapular and axillary nerves.

EFFECT: method provides the safest and most versatile pain relief in the treatment of adhesive capsulitis in all phases of its clinical manifestation, which allows blockade of both the terminal branches of the suprascapular and axillary nerves, from the same access point.
