FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of granular chemical absorbents. The method of preparing sodium fluoride-based granular mixed sorbent involves hydrofluorination of annealed granules at 300-350°C, where the said granules are moulded from a paste containing the following (wt %): sodium carbonate 92-80, freshly prepared gel-like calcium hydroxide 4-16, sodium hydroxide 0.5-4. The obtained sorbent has the following composition: 80-85% NaF and 5-20% CaF2.
EFFECT: method increases mechanical strength of the sorbent, porosity and uranium hexafluoride capacity.
