FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the glass industry and can be used in production of curved glass, mainly under the effect of a vacuum, to obtain reflectors for different purposes, in particular for aerodrome floodlights. The method of making curved articles from glass involves putting a workpiece on a heated mould into a furnace. The workpiece is heated to glass deformation temperature and bent by creating a vacuum inside the mould. After bending, the curved workpiece is raised above the mould, held in position and annealed without contact between the curved workpiece and the mould.
EFFECT: improved optical qualities of articles with complex curved surface.
