FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: furnace is heated to temperature 140-160°C higher than glass melting point. Prior to heating, said furnace is shielded by thermal shield. Workpiece is place in heated furnace in heated die. Note here that aforesaid shield is removed from said furnace before placing workpiece therein. Bending is performed in die heated to temperature not exceeding that of glass softening.
EFFECT: decreased mechanical defects of article surface in contact with die forming surface.
