FIELD: glass.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of articles from glass with an irregular curved surface. Glass workpiece is placed in the heating chamber above the mould of the produced article. Workpiece is heated to the glass deformation temperature and bent by creating vacuum in the mould. Mould is made from a heat-resistant gas-permeable composite material based on gypsum, herewith the mould is placed in the heating chamber in a molding frame connected to the vacuum system.
EFFECT: technical result is simplified method and device, broader technical capabilities to make articles with a complex surface relief including relief elements with negative angles.
